Content and architecture readable by generative search — so your company is the answer when customers ask AI.
AI search optimization, also called generative engine optimization (GEO), is the set of activities that increase the chance that your brand, content or website is used as a source, cited or recommended in answers generated by AI systems such as ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, Gemini, Perplexity and Copilot. It builds on SEO fundamentals and adds clear, extractable content, an unambiguous brand entity, correct crawler access, structured data and credible mentions beyond your own site.
There is no tag or setting that guarantees presence in an AI answer. The goal of GEO is to raise the probability of being cited and to measure the change systematically. Yore Solutions helps companies in the United States and Europe do exactly that, drawing on 15+ years of SEO experience and hands-on work with generative search since AI Overviews launched.
If your customers ask an AI assistant "who should I hire", "which product is best" or "how do I solve this" before they ever contact you, the answer they get is already shaping your pipeline.
Consultancies, agencies, software vendors, manufacturers and professional services that are compared and recommended before the first call. GEO makes sure the comparison includes you, in the right context.
Stores and manufacturers whose products or categories appear in purchase questions: "best X for Y", "X vs Z", "is X worth it". Product data, reviews and comparison content that AI can extract.
Clinics, law firms, home services, hospitality: when customers ask AI for recommendations in a city or region, entity consistency, reviews and local content decide who gets named.
Companies that can provide data, experience, case studies and unique knowledge. Original insight is the content type AI systems cite most readily.
We match the scope to where your customers actually ask questions. Most often we monitor ChatGPT search, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, Gemini, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot. For every company we prepare a separate set of prompts and intents, from general category questions to comparisons, recommendations and local queries.
SEO gets pages ranked in classic search results. GEO gets your brand cited and recommended inside AI-generated answers. Both rest on the same foundations of technology, content and authority; GEO adds entity clarity, source development and monitoring of AI systems.
| SEO | GEO / AI search optimization | |
|---|---|---|
| Goal | Rank URLs in search results | Be cited, mentioned or recommended in AI answers |
| Unit of work | Keywords and intents mapped to pages | Prompts, questions, comparisons and recommendations |
| What gets extracted | Whole pages, titles and snippets | Passages, definitions, tables, FAQs and entity facts |
| Key signals | Relevance, links, technical health | Clarity, statistics, sources, entity consistency, third-party mentions |
| Measurement | Positions, clicks, organic traffic | Share of mentions, citations, answer context, AI referral traffic |
We build the foundation within our SEO services and treat GEO as one channel in a wider customer-acquisition system, alongside Google Ads and Meta Ads.
We create a fixed set of questions matching your customers' intents and re-check the answers on a regular schedule across the monitored AI systems. We report your brand's share of mentions, citations and sources, the context of the answers, which competitors appear, visits from AI systems and, where available, Search Console data on Google's generative features. Progress is always measured against the starting benchmark, never against a promise of "position one".
We define the questions that match your customers' intents and measure the starting point across the AI systems that matter for your market.
We check indexing, content, entities, structured data and AI-crawler accessibility, and list the barriers to being cited.
We publish answer-focused content, align brand data and develop credible external sources.
We repeat the measurement, report change against the benchmark and plan the next steps.
Selected figures from projects run by our team (Search Console and analytics data, 90-day periods). AI visibility depends on your starting authority and market, so we discuss specific projects on a call, with the client's consent.

FAQ
SEO focuses on the visibility of pages in classic search results. GEO (generative engine optimization) extends this to the presence of your brand and content in AI-generated answers from ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI features. Both rely on the same foundations: technical accessibility, content quality, clear company information and credible sources.
No. No agency controls AI model answers or can honestly guarantee a permanent recommendation. We can increase the chances of visibility by improving content, technology, brand consistency and sources, and then measure how often your brand appears in a fixed set of queries.
Yes, in the sense that Google applies the same core quality and accessibility principles in its AI features as in Search. Google emphasizes that SEO best practices remain the foundation, and there is no separate "GEO markup" that guarantees presence in AI Overviews or AI Mode.
If you want your content to be discoverable and citable in ChatGPT search, do not block OAI-SearchBot; GPTBot is a separate crawler related to model training and can be managed independently. PerplexityBot and ClaudeBot work the same way for their platforms, and Google requires Googlebot access to indexable content.
Structured data helps describe the page and entities in a machine-readable way, but it guarantees neither rankings nor citations. It should match the content visible to users and be implemented as part of a wider SEO and AI search architecture.
llms.txt is a plain-text file at the root of a website that gives AI systems a concise overview of the company, its services and key pages. It is not a ranking factor, but it is a cheap way to make sure AI tools read a consistent, current description of your business. We include it in every GEO implementation.
With a fixed set of queries, measuring the frequency of brand mentions, cited sources, answer context, competitors and referral traffic from AI tools. For Google we also track Search Console data on generative features where the report is available.
There is no fixed timeframe. It depends on indexing, the quality of existing content, brand authority, how often sources are updated and how individual AI systems fetch and refresh information. That is why we start with a benchmark and report change against the starting point.
The terms overlap. AEO usually refers to optimizing content to be the direct answer in featured snippets, voice assistants and AI answers; GEO focuses on being cited and recommended by generative AI systems. In practice we cover both within one plan: extractable answers on your site, and a credible brand entity across the web.
Yes. We work with companies across the United States and Europe. The prompt set, competitors and monitored AI systems are defined for your market and language, and all content, data and accounts remain your property.
